Fiat Punto Evo T-JET to use a new turbocharger, caught testing in India - Spied
Reported to get disc brakes on all wheels.
TeamBHP has snapped the Fiat Punto Evo T-Jet with a myriad of sensors in its engine compartment. The turbocharged, petrol-powered hatchback is expected to launch in India next year, the report says.
While the Punto Evo T-Jet will continue using the 1.4-liter turbocharged engine seen on the Linea T-Jet, it will make use of a different turbocharger, the forum says. Where the Linea T-Jet makes 113 bhp, the Punto Evo T-Jet would produce 105 bhp and 185 Nm of torque, a source told the forum.
Another change on the Punto Evo T-Jet is that it will reportedly get larger disc brakes on all wheels, where the current Punto Evo offers only front discs.
The Punto Evo is presently offered with 1.2- and 1.4-liter naturally-aspirated petrol engines, and a 1.3-liter diesel engine in two states of tunes. All variants put their power through a 5-speed manual transmission.

Fiat has also announced the launch of its performance Abarth brand, however, the brand's introduction in the country (initially planned for 2013) has seen several delays, which the company attributes to market slowdown and unfavorable exchange rates.
Rivals: Tata Bolt Sport, VW Polo GT TSI
Expected launch date: End-2015 or early-2016
