Fiat Tipo hatchback - Geneva Motor Show Live

Replaces the Fiat Bravo hatchback.

Along with the Fiat Tipo estate, FCA has unveiled the Fiat Tipo hatchback at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show today. This is the third bodystyle of the Fiat Tipo family, and will go on sale in September.

In terms of size, the 5-door model is 4.37 m long, 1.79 m wide and 1.50 m high.

The front-end of the Tipo hatchback is largely identical to the Fiat Tipo sedan, save a for a slightly-redesigned bumper and LED DRLs in the headlamps. The rear-end sports a long pair of distinctive taillamps that extend to the side, a wide hatch, subtle rear spoiler and concealed exhaust pipes.

The interior is largely identical to the Tipo sedan, featuring a contemporary layout with the single-pod instrument cluster, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a DAB radio, Bluetooth music system and power operated mirrors as standard. Higher variants will feature a freestanding 5 inch UConnect infotainment touchscreen, and auto dimming rear view mirror. The boot capacity is rated at 420 liters.

The Fiat Tipo hatchback is available with a 95 hp 1.3-liter and 120 hp 1.6-liter Multijet diesel engines, as well as petrol options such as the 110 hp 1.6-liter E-Torq and 95 hp 1.4-liter 16v, and a 120 hp 1.4L turbo petrol engines. Depending on the variant chosen, transmission options such as 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic (1.6 petrol only) or 6-speed dual clutch (1.6 diesel only) are available for the Fiat Tipo hatcback.
