From the clip it seems pretty clear that the front end is lifted from the sedan model. The rear half of the Tipo is where it starts getting distinctive, featuring a tailgate, wraparound tail light design, and a tailgate-mounted spoiler.

The interior is largely identical to the Fiat Tipo sedan.

The interior is largely identical to the Tipo sedan, featuring a contemporary layout with the twin-pod instrument cluster, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system and chrome accents.

The 2016 Fiat Tipo hatchback will be powered by a choice between four engines: two petrol and two diesel engines. The petrol engines are the 1.4-litre Multiair and 1.6-litre E-Torq units while the diesel engines are the 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre MultiJet II units. These will be coupled to either a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmissions.
