Fiat Toro launched at prices starting from R$ 76,500 - Brazil

Available in two grades: Freedom and Volcano.

The Fiat Toro has now gone on sale in Brazil, with prices starting from R$ 76,500 (INR 13.08 Lakhs) to R$ 116,500 (INR 19.92 Lakhs). It is the second Fiat pick-up to join the range, and targets customers looking to own a pick-up more for leisure purposes.

Arriving nearly two years after the unveil of the Fiat FCC4 concept, the front-end of the Toro has sleek pilot lamps separated from main headlamps, which flow into the dual-slat chrome grille. The lower bumper has chrome-trimmed enclosures in the Volcano grade, and a silver skid plate. At the back, the Toro features sleek wraparound taillamps, a large Fiat logo, and a barn-style tailgate that opens outwards.

The Toro measures 4,915 mm long, 1,844 mm wide, 1,735 mm tall, has a wheelbase of 2,990 mm and a ground clearance of 206.5 mm. The petrol variant is capable of hauling a max payload of 650 kg, while the diesel variant can carry up to a tonne of cargo.

The Toro’s interior is inline with Fiat’s latest products, as seen in the steering wheel, piano black center console and instrument cluster. The Volcano grade features FCA’s 5-inch UConnect infotainment system as standard and a 7-inch MID in the center of the instrument cluster, reverse parking sensors and camera, seven airbags and a panoramic glass roof.

The engines available include a 1.8 16v E-Torq Flex petrol engine and 2.0 16v Multijet turbo diesel. The former produces 138 hp and is paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, while the latter delivers 170 hp through a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic gearbox. An intelligent 4×4 drivetrain with low gear option is only available in the turbodiesel variant.
