First Maserati Levante for Indian market spotted in Bengaluru

The Levante here is a private import.

Automobili Ardent has managed to acquire an image of India's first ever Maserati Levante in Bengaluru, which seems to have been delivered to its lucky owner even before the Italian manufacturer could formally launch its first SUV here.

The Levante is Maserati's first SUV and offers 3 engine options.

This Levante is finished in a dark Blu Passione Mica exterior colour. It's based on the same rear-wheel-drive platform as the Maserati Quattroporte and the Maserati Ghibli, measuring 5,003 mm in length, 2,158 mm in width (with door mirrors) and 1,679 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,004 mm.

It's unclear which engine is powering this particular Levante. Internationally, it is available with three engine options: a base 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol unit good for 257 kW (344.50 hp) and 500 Nm of torque, the Levante S with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine that churns out 316 kW (423.59 hp) and 580 Nm of torque, and the Levante diesel packing a 3.0-litre turbodiesel V6 motor with 202 kW (270.78 hp) and 600 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission and Q4 all-wheel drive system are standard in all models.

Some of the standard features in the Levante include full panoramic sunroof, 12-way power adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, heated rear seats, 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus infotainment system with navigation and 17-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System.

The Maserati Levante rivals the Porsche Cayenne and Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 Coupe in India. Prices are expected to start from INR 1.3 crores (ex-showroom Delhi) when Maserati formally introduces the vehicle.
