Ford EcoSport facelift is air cargo in Europe

Will be unveiled in Brazil in November.

The 2017 Ford EcoSport will have a considerably revised front-end.

What is evident is the new grille design, repositioned 'Blue Oval' logo, restyled bumper and new vertical fog lamps with chrome grille on the inner side. Despite the UK registration plates, this model doesn't seem to be Euro-spec, the boot-mounted stepney indicates.

The interior hasn't been revealed in the new spy shots, but has been seen in a previous batch of pictures. Changes include new three-spoke steering wheel, instrument panel, centre console and central HVAC vents. The facelift will bring the SYNC 2 infotainment system, but not the Blackberry QNX-based SYNC 3 infotainment system that was announced for all U.S.-spec MY2017 Ford models in July.

A change more significant than the rehashed exterior and interior will be in the engine line-up. In South America, 2017 Ford EcoSport will reportedly come with a new 1.5-litre 'Dragon' three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine. It's yet to be known if this engine will be offered in markets in other regions. We expect to learn more on this when the facelifted model premieres at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show in November.
