Ford EcoSport facelift finished in 'Arpoadar Red' spied testing in India
Will go on sale in India in Q3 2017.
CarToq has managed to acquire spy shots of the 2017 Ford EcoSport finished in the 'Arpoadar Red' exterior, which could be made available to customers when the facelifted model goes on sale in Q3 2017. Ford has habitually introduced new body colours during lifecycle actions.
Although the front and rear fascias are wrapped up, we can clearly see the new trapezoidal radiator grille flanked by larger projector headlamps with LED DRLs, sharp triangular fog lamps, and a more rugged bumper design. The rear-end, however, looks largely identical to the current model, even retaining the tailgate-mounted spare wheel.
The interior is yet to be photographed. As revealed at the 2016 LA Auto Show, it will feature an all-black interior with lesser button count, new three-spoke steering wheel, new instrument dials flanking a larger MID, redesigned centre console built with better materials, sleeker central HVAC vents, and a floating 8.0-inch touchscreen system offered for top-end grades.

The engine lineup of the Ford EcoSport facelift is likely to retain the 1.5L Ti-VCT petrol engine, 1.5L TDCi engine and 1.0L EcoBoost engine. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be equipped as standard in all variants, while a 6-speed DCT is exclusive to the 1.5L Ti-VCT. Expect fuel mileage to be similar to the current EcoSport’s 15.85 km/L (1.5 petrol), 18.88 km/L (1.0L EcoBoost), 22.27 km/L (1.5 Diesel) figures.
