Will go on sale next year.

The 2017 Ford EcoSport (facelift) will have its Brazilian debut at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show on 8 November, as per a report from Autos Segredos. Sao Paulo will host the world premiere of the new EcoSport if it does not premiere in China this month.

The facelifted Ford EcoSport's exterior will have cues borrowed from the Ford Kuga, while the interior will have heavy revisions.

The facelifted 2017 Ford EcoSport's exterior will be inspired by that of the Ford Kuga. Our illustration above shows how the Kuga-inspired facelifted-EcoSport will look. The interior will be comprehensively redone, with new steering wheel, instrument panel, centre console and the SYNC 2 infotainment system with a colour display.

Along with the exterior and interior, revisions will be present in the engine compartment as well. In South America, and possibly elsewhere, a new 1.5-litre 'Dragon' three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine will be introduced. It remains to be seen if Ford brings it to India, where the current gasoline options are a 125 PS 1.0-litre EcoBoost and a 112 PS 1.5-litre Ti-VCT.
