According to a report on Chinese publication AutoHome, the 2017 Ford EcoSport (facelift) will have its debut this month in China. The publication does not talk about any particular event or show wherein the EcoSport facelift will have its premiere, but cites "official sources".

A speculative rendering from IAB's automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania previews the 2017 Ford EcoSport (facelift) which is expected to draw cues from the Ford Edge.

As seen in spyshots, the Ford EcoSport facelift will get redesigned headlights, a larger grille, new front and rear bumpers and newly-designed taillights. The Ford EcoSport facelift is expected to draw some design cues from the larger Ford Edge, reports state.

Inside, the Ford EcoSport facelift is expected to get an all-new dashboard with a new center console, a new steering wheel, a redesigned instrument cluster, and new features such as tire pressure monitoring system, a new color SYNC display with navigation and reverse camera.

Under the hood, the publication states that the Ford EcoSport facelift will continue with 1.5-liter petrol engine and the 1.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost petrol engine with transmission options including 5-speed manual and 6-speed dual-clutch automatic.

A new color SYNC display with integrated reverse camera will replace the non-color SYNC unit of the current EcoSport.
