Lack of demand would be the most obvious reason.

Ford India has discontinued two more variants of the Ford Endeavour: Endeavour 2.2L 4x4 MT Trend and Endeavour 3.2L 4x4 AT Trend. The only variants now available include Endeavour 2.2L 4x2 AT Trend, Endeavour 2.2L 4x2 AT Titanium and Endeavour 3.2L 4x4 AT Titanium. Prices range from INR 25.49 Lakhs to INR 31.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

Ford India has discontinued two variants of the Ford Endeavour: Endeavour 2.2L 4x4 MT Trend and Endeavour 3.2L 4x4 AT Trend, removing a manual option for the SUV.

The variant list revision comes after Ford discontinued the entry-level 2.2L Trend 4×2 MT variant last October. It could be attributed to low sales of the variants in India, as premium car buyers are increasingly preferring automatic transmissions over manual variants, which has greater sense of convenience in a car as large as the Endeavour in urban conditions.

The Endeavour continues to offer two engine options in the country: a 2.2L four-cylinder TDCi capable of 160 PS (118 kW/157.75 hp) and 385 Nm of torque and a 3.2L five-cylinder TDCi capable of 200 PS (147 kW/197.18 hp) and 470 Nm of torque. They are paired to a 6-speed torque converter, while a 4x4 drivetrain is now exclusive to the 3.2L.

Prices of the Ford Endeavour now range from INR 25.49 Lakhs to INR 31.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

The SUV measures 4,892 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,837 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm and a ground clearance (maximum) of 225 mm. It rivals the Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X and the upcoming Jeep Compass in the Indian market.
