Ford Figo facelift arriving on October 15
Is change a good thing?
Ford India is hoping that it is. They haven't specified what the Mumbai press conference on October 15 is, but we have to be either crazy or stupid to mistake it for the launch of anything but the Ford Figo facelift.
The Figo facelift comes with revised lights, new alloy wheels, steering-column-mounted controls for audio, minor revisions to the materials used on the door trim, and two new color options in the form of yellow and blue. Ford is not plonking the 1.5L diesel or the 1L Ecoboost on the Figo, however software reprogramming on the current engines could see performance or fuel economy gains.

Over the last few days, Ford has been stocking dealer yards with the Figo facelift sporting these significant feature add-ons. The company is also announcing a price hike on the Figo range on the launch day according to readers in touch with Ford dealers.
The Figo facelift comes at the right time. The Chevrolet Sail is bracing itself for a November launch, and many competitor models like the VW Polo, Maruti Ritz, Tata Vista and Toyota Liva have undergone changes in the recent months. More than 2 lakh units of the Figo have been sold in the last 2.5 years, making it Ford's biggest success story in its 15 year association with the Indian market.
