Fuel Injected Royal Enfield Himalayan updated on Indian site

The launch is weeks away.

Royal Enfield has updated the Indian website thereby confirming the fuel-injected Royal Enfield Himalayan for the country. The motorcycle with fuel injection was first showcased at the EICMA in November last year and is likely to reach showrooms in the coming weeks.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan fuel injected variant (spec sheet attached) was showcased at EICMA 2016.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan with fuel injection can be significantly more refined than the carburetted version. The 411 cc mill air-cooled mill is assisted by an oil-cooler and is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 24.5 bhp of maximum power at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque at 4,250 rpm.

The carburetted version tips the scales at 182 kg, but the company has not revealed the weight of the fuel injected model. The Royal Enfield Himalayan gets a half duplex split cradle frame and is suspended over 41 mm telescopic forks up front and a linked monoshock in the rear.
