Geneva Update - Bertone Jet 2 and Jet 2+2 are Aston Martin Estates!

Bertone Jet 2+2, a stylish station wagon based on the Aston Martin Rapide took the stage at the 83rd Geneva Motor Show.

The Jet 2+2 was accompanied by the updated version of the Jet 2, another Aston Martin based estate which first debuted in 2004. The Jet 2 is nothing but a Vanquish station wagon.

The cars were showcased to celebrate Aston Martin's 100 years of existence as well as Bertone's 60 years of association with the legendary British Marque. The Jet 2+2 is easily up there with the hottest station wagons in the world.

The car borrows its mechanicals from the Aston Martin Rapide, (not from the updated Rapide S which is also on display at the show). The 5.9 litre V12 petrol motor delivers 470 horses.

The one off  Bertone Jet 2+2 was commissioned by an Aston Martin collector and was built under approval from the brand. The estate has slightly better rear head room than the original Rapide and the cabin has a nice blend of wood, leather and aluminium.

The Jet 2 is the updated version of the Vanquish based estate. The car still uses the old Vanquish's hardware but gets a facelift to stay visually updated. The car which is on display is owned by Mr. Lille Bertone itself.

Don't you think it makes terrific sense for Aston Martin to make few of these themselves as limited edition models?
