It may take a while before the Harley-Davidson LiveWire comes to India. The motorcycle is priced at USD 29,799 in the US market, which roughly translates to INR 20.43 lakh. The taxes and duties would push the cost higher and the ex-showroom India price will be much higher.

The Milwaukee-based brand recently announced the specifications of the LiveWire and it packs promising numbers. Harley-Davidson claims a range of 235 km/full charge with the LiveWire. The charging time is quite low if you are using DC Fast Charge technology. With the DC Fast Charge, the 15.5 kWh battery pack can recharge to 80% in just 40 minutes while a full charge will take an hour. The standard AC powered wall-charger, on the other hand, takes substantially longer 12 hours 30 minutes to charge up the battery pack.

Performance numbers on the LiveWire would haunt some of the middleweight products with an internal combustion engine. The electric motor on the Harley-Davidson LiveWire packs 103 PS of peak power and 116 Nm of max torque, all of which is available throughout the rev-range. The 0-100 km/h acceleration takes just 3 seconds. The motorcycle also features 7 riding modes.

A suite of rider aids handles the safety net. The Reflex Defensive Rider Systems (RDRS) electronic aids on the LiveWire include Cornering Anti-lock Braking System (C-ABS), Cornering Traction Control System (C-TCS) and Drag-Torque Slip Control System (DSCS).

The feature list includes all-LED lighting, a 4.3-inch TFT display, fully adjustable 43 mm upside-down Showa Separate Function Big Piston front fork, Showa Balance Free Rear Cushion-lite monoshock, twin 300 mm discs at the front with 4 piston radially-mounted callipers and 260 mm disc at the rear with a floating calliper.
