Harley-Davidson announces the launch of 100 new bikes by 2027

The Harley-Davidson brand is one of the oldest motorcycle manufacturers from the USA.

Harley-Davidson has announced a drop by 4.2 percent in Q1 2017, registering sales of 70,831 units. To put this performance behind them, among other actions, the company confirmed the launch of 100 new high impact motorcycles in the next decade.

The Harley-Davidson brand saw a drop of 4.2 percent in global sales in Q1 2017.

Harley-Davidson India too saw a drop of 21.62 percent with sales of 3,690 units in the financial year 2016-17. Volumes in FY 2015-16 stood at 4,708 motorcycles. The company recently unveiled the Harley Davidson Street Rod 750 which is a tuned up version for the Street 750.

The Harley Davidson Street Rod 750 is powered by a 749 cc High Output Revolution X V-twin mill which is capable of producing 65 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The bike tips the scales at 238 kg and has a price tag of INR 5.86 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

In the second quarter of 2017, Harley-Davidson aims to ship 80,000 to 85,000 motorcycles worldwide. The company aims to increase international business to 50 percent of the annual volumes in ten years.

Harley-Davidson wants to launch 100 new high impact motorcycles in the next 10 years.

Harley-Davidson also says that they will work towards growing the business without increasing its environmental impact.
