Haval is one of the rare Chinese automakers who make good quality original automobiles. The Haval H2 compact SUV is the first offering as an autonomous entity. Carnewschina.com has managed to snap the Haval H2 Concept which will make its global premiere at the Auto Shanghai this Saturday.

The concept looks completely production ready and we expect the production model to continue unchanged. The white colored roof could be missing at the maximum.

The front fascia has a typical Haval family look. The prominent 'U' shaped chrome grill bears the new Haval logo. The headlamps are nicely detailed and is underlined by LED daytime running lights. There is another pair of DRLs below the foglamp units.

The rear also carries a simple and neat styling. The windshield is small and the taillights extend towards the fender. The elliptical dual exhaust tips attempt to add a sporty quotient.

The interior design and layout is quite impressive. The SUV gets a dual tone beige and brown or black and brown interior with a faux wooden strip spitting the dashboard horizontally. The quality of materials used appears to be high.

The Haval H2 measures about 4.5 metres long. It is powered by a 1.5 litre petrol engine which puts out a rather modest 105 bhp. The engine is mated to a CVT automatic transmission.

The car is expected to go on sale in China later this year and the prices are estimated to start from 80,000 Yuan (around Rs. 6.99 lakhs).
