Hero Motocorp Ltd.,  previously known as Hero Honda, is an Indian cruiser and bike manufacturer. Hero Honda first operated in 1984 as a joint venture between Hero Group of India and Honda of Japan.

In December 2010, Hero Group exited from Honda. The company changed its name from Hero Honda Motors Limited to Hero Motocorp Limited on 29 July 2011. 

Hero Motocorp Ltd. is now headquartered in New Delhi, India. It has five assembling factories based in Dharuhera, Gurgaon, Neemrana, Haridwar and Halol under Green Field stage. These plants together have a  capability of over 7.6 million 2-wheelers annually.

1. Logo meaning

Hero Motocorp's logo is recognizable thanks to the eye-catching color combination of the red representing the continuity of change, innovation, and self-growth, and the black as a symbol of energy. The inverted “Z” is associated with the freedom and independence of the company.

2. First model launch

- In 1985, the company introduced their first motorcycle CD 100 in the Indian market.

- In 1989, the new motorcycle model Sleek was launched.

- In 1991, the new motorcycle model CD 100 SS was introduced.

3. Sale units

- In June 2020, Hero Motocorp sold a total of 4,50,744 units of two-wheelers. This is a fourfold growth compared to the record of 1,12,682 units in May 2020.

Hero Splendor Plus

Hero Splendor Plus is available in 3 variants including kick-start with alloy wheels, self-start with alloy wheels, and self-start with alloys and i3S. This 110 kg bike has 4 colours: black with silver, black with purple, black with sports red, heavy grey with green.

Hero Splendor Plus produces 7.8 bhp and 8.05 Nm from its 97.2cc motor. The single-chamber motor of the Splendor Plus has a 4-speed manual gearbox. The cycle parts have adaptive forks and double safeguards and drum brakes at the two finishes. While the BS4 Splendor Plus weighs 109kg (kerb), the BS6 model may be marginally substantial because of the progressions on the motor. The limit of the fuel tank is 11 liters. 

Hero Splendor Plus
