Exclusive: BS-VI Honda Activa 125 specifications revealed, launching later this month

Honda 2Wheelers India has confirmed the launch of BS-VI Honda Activa 125 before the end of this month. Today, Indian Autos Blog can exclusively reveal the main specifications of the BS-VI Honda Activa 125.

The BS-VI compliant Honda Activa 125 will produce a slightly reduced power output to meet the stricter emission norms.

Unveiled to media in June 2019, the BS-VI Honda Activa 125 is powered by a 124 fuel-injected powerplant. The max power output of this BS-VI compliant engine has been confirmed to be 6.10 kW (8.29 PS) at 6,500 rpm. The BS-IV engine of the old model produces a slightly higher 6.35 kW (8.63 PS) at the same engine speed.

In addition to a cleaner engine, the BS-VI compliant Honda Activa 125 benefits from features like Alternating Current Generator (ACG) and Idle Start Stop System. Also, Honda’s R&D team has optimized the inlet port shape and used reverse flow technology to keep the combustion chamber compact. Also, the Honda Activa 125 BS-VI utilises a lightweight crankshaft and piston along with an offset piston to reduce overall friction.
