2017 Honda Activa 4G reaches dealership [Images updated]

The Honda Activa was the world’s largest selling two-wheeler in 2016.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd have launched the 2017 Honda Activa 4G with BSIV compliance, AHO and small cosmetic changes.

The Honda Activa 4G gains AHO, BSIV compliance and a mobile charging socket.

The 2017 Honda Activa 4G BSIV gets a new dynamic front centre cover design and gains two new colour options - Matt Selene Silver Metallic and Matte Axis Grey Metallic. Previously available colour options of Trance Blue Metallic, Imperial Red Metallic, Black, Pearl Amazing White and Majestic Brown Metallic will continue.

The automatic scooter also gains a mobile charging and a retractable front hook. With a 58 percent market share in the segment, HMSI is also getting future ready. The Honda Activa 4G gets Combined Braking System with Equalizer. This technology distributes braking force proportionately between the front and rear wheels simultaneously by pressing just the left lever, thus, reducing the braking distance.

Powering the 2017 Honda Activa 4G BSIV is the tried and tested 109 cc HET mill which is capable of producing 8 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 9 Nm (up from 8.83 Nm) of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Just like the Honda Activa 125, the Honda Activa 4G gets Auto Headlamp On (AHO).

The Honda Activa 4G costs just 440 bucks more than the outgoing version.

The 2017 Honda Activa 4G BSIV has been priced at INR 50,730 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is a rise of INR 440 over the Honda Activa 3G.
