[Updated] Report - Honda Amaze & Brio to get minor changes in India

Update: Honda has published images of the white instrument cluster on its website.

Previously, the Brio came with an orange cluster.

The overall design of the panel is unchanged though.

Both cars get a new color.

Honda Cars India will introduce minor changes on its entry-level models, the Brio and Amaze. Following are the changes listed out by a Team BHP member.

Honda Brio

  1. New wing mirrors from the 2014 City
  2. Replacement of the 'Energetic Blue' colour with a new 'Majestic Blue' shade
  3. Combimeter (Instrument cluster) to get white illumination, blue gradation and white pointer for EX and S trims
  4. Double horn for the S trim
  5. S trim loses out on front and rear mudguards, and seat-back pocket
  6. Tachometer deleted on base E variant, and door center sash tape deleted on EX trim

Honda Amaze

  1. New wing mirrors from the 2014 City
  2. Replacement of the 'Crystal Black Pearl' colour with a new 'Golden Brown' shade
  3. Combimeter (Instrument cluster) to get white illumination, blue gradation and white pointer for EX, S and VX trims
  4. Double horn for the S trim
  5. Tachometer, rear grab rails and door center sash tape deleted on base E variant

The cars will not see any mechanical changes. The Brio and Amaze are offered with the 1.2-liter i-VTEC petrol engine producing 88 PS (86.76 bhp) and 109 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. The Amaze can also be had with the 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel motor making 100 PS (98.59 bhp) and 200 Nm of torque, matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The updated Brio and Amaze are likely to be at the dealerships in the days ahead.
