Makes its Indian premiere at the Auto Expo 2016.

The first deliveries of the Honda BR-V commenced in its launch market in Indonesia this month. PT Honda Prospect Motor, the Indonesian subsidiary of Honda, delivered the first 200 units of the BR-V on January 24, 2016, around two years after it started deliveries of the Honda Mobilio (Indonesia was also the launch market for the Mobilio, and the BR-V is based on the Mobilio's platform).

The first lot of 200 BR-Vs met their owners this month.

For the Indonesian market, the Honda BR-V is available in four variants - S-MT, E-MT, E-CVT and Prestige CVT. All variants are powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine capable of 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque. The manual transmission is an all-new 6-speed gearbox, while the CVT has been specifically calibrated for the BR-V.

All variants get projector headlights and alloy wheels (195/60-R16 specification), whereas features like LED light guide, shark fin antenna and rear spoiler are reserved for higher models. Inside, a 6.1-inch touchscreen entertainment system with navigation and reverse camera complements the all-black interior and upholstery color.

A new 6-sped MT finds its way on the BR-V.

On the safety front, ABS, EBD and dual front airbags are standardized across all variants, whereas VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) and Hill Start Assist are exclusive for the Prestige variant.
