Honda BR-V shown in 'Misty Green Pearl' for the first time - Report
Deliveries to begin in Indonesia early next year.
Honda is showing the BR-V in a 'Misty Green Pearl' shade for the first time. The crossover is on display in Surabaya, where HPM (Honda Prospect Motor) hopes to bag 'hundreds of bookings' in the coming days. By end of this year, HPM hopes to have secured 4,000 bookings for the BR-V, with deliveries starting in early-2016.
For the Indonesian market, the BR-V will be offered with a 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine paired to a 6-speed manual or a CVT unit. The City-borrowed engine is good for 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque. In addition to this engine, a 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine will also be available for markets such as India, where the BR-V will go on sale next year.
Honda Cars India plans on showcasing the BR-V for the first time at the Auto Expo 2016, which takes place in February 2016. According to reports, the BR-V will be manufactured at Honda Cars India's Tapukara, Rajasthan plant beginning April 2016.
Based on the same platform as the Honda Amaze, the BR-V will compete with products like the Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster on price. It will be priced between Rp. 230 million to Rp. 265 million (INR 10.83 lakhs and INR 12.48 lakhs) in Indonesia.
