First of Honda's many upcoming weapons will be the Honda Brio Automatic.

Indian Autos Blog will be getting behind the wheel of this little auto hatch tomorrow to tell you how good it is in the automatic avatar. The Honda Brio AT is expected to be launched in mid October to bring some cheer in the Honda lovers' camp this Diwali.

It's claimed that the Brio AT has a fuel economy figure of 16.5 kmpl on Indian driving cycle which is a 3 kmpl less than what the manual version offers.

The autobox is expected to be offered only in top of the line 'V' variant, but an automatic lower variant 'S' could not be ruled out either, we will be clear about that tomorrow.

Team BHP reader RavenAvi managed to post some clear pictures of the Brio AT ahead of its media reveal tomorrow. The V spec model has all the bells and whistles like dual tone interiors, airbags, fog lamps and alloy wheels.

The Brio will use the same 5-speed torque converter automatic as the Honda city sans the paddle shifters. Honda Brio enters a relatively less populated automatic hatchback segment and that could work in its favour. The other hatchbacks that offer auto transmission are the Hyundai i10 and the Maruti A-Star.
