The Shine SP uses the same engine as the regular Honda CB Shine, which is the 124.73 cc air-cooled single-cylinder carbureted engine that delivers 10.57 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 10.30 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. While the CB Shine uses a four-speed gearbox, the CB Shine SP features a five-speed transmission.

Both models feature a regular telescopic fork, twin-spring loaded hydraulic type shock absorbers as a part of the rear suspension, 130 mm drum or 240 mm disc brake upfront, 130 mm drum brake at the rear, and 80/100-18 tubeless tyres at the front and rear.
