Honda CB Shine SP to launch today - IAB Report

A higher mileage claim is expected.

The Honda CB Shine SP will be launched in a few hours. It is expected to be introduced as a variant extension under the Honda Shine banner which is the most popular nameplate among the 125 cc commuter motorcycle segment in the country. The CB Shine SP will be the 15th and last model to be unveiled by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India this year.

The Honda CB Shine SP is the last model HMSI unveils this year.

Compared to the standard Honda CB Shine, the Shine SP version features a new headlamp assembly, a large visor, flowing side and rear panels, a redesigned silencer with a chrome trim, red coloured springs for the rear shocks, a new taillamp, new 10-spoke alloy wheels, and new body decals.

The Honda CB Shine SP is expected to be sold alongside the existing CB Shine model.

The Shine SP will be powered by the same 124.7 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine with HET that is doing duty on the current Honda Shine, but it is expected to feature some subtle changes for enhanced performance and mileage. The existing CB Shine packs 10.57 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 10.30 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The 4-speed gearbox is not expected to be altered.
