What is Honda CB150R?
Honda CB150R is a sporty 150cc liquid-cooled bike that has been on sale since 20213. It was first introduced by Honda at the Jakarta Motorcycle Show in November 2021. Shortly afterwards, the CB150R hit the showrooms. The first-gen model was sold from launch until 2015. The second-gen version arrived with a new engine configuration. Back in 2018, the CB150R was given a few minor visual updates.
Recently, Honda has launched the 2021 CB150R Streetfire in Indonesia. The new model is offered in 2 variants – Standard and Special Edition. Regarding the styling, the new CB150R reminds us of the Hornet 2.0 that Honda offers in our market.
Is 2021 Honda CB150R avilable in India?
At the moment, the 2021 Honda CB150R is not available in the Indian market. In the future, it is unlikely that Honda will bring this model to our market. Right now, the Japanese firm is selling the bigger CB250R in India. If there is any chance, it is more likely that Honda will bring the Honda CB250R rather than the smaller CB150R.
What to expect from the 2021 Honda CB150R?
2021 Honda CB150R Styling
As mentioned above, the new 2021 Honda CB150R was provided with a refreshed design. For example, the bodywork was restyled with various creases around the fuel tank. There are also inverted front folks, tapered handlebar. The revised alloy wheels look similar to those of the Hornet 2.0. For the higher variant, there are a few interesting design bits, for example, the 3D logos on the fuel tank or the Burnt Titanium garnish for the handlebar, engine covers and wheel rims.
2021 Honda CB150R Power
2021 Honda CB150R derives power from a 149cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. This motor can deliver 16.9 PS at 9000 RPM and 13.8 Nm at 7000 RPM. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The top speed that Honda CB150R could hit is 125 kmph. The fuel tank of the bike can hold up to 12 litres.
2021 Honda CB150R Features
In addition to the refreshed styling, the updated 2021 CB150R also gets a few new features. It now comes with full LED lighting and a new all-digital instrument panel. Bikers can read the information like gear position indicator, speed, rev and fuel status from the meter console. Moreover, the CB150R also gets a Showa-sourced 37 mm upside-down forks on the front. The rest of the equipment list is similar to the previous version. It continues to get the mono-shock setting and the stopping duties are done by a single petal disc on both front and rear wheels.
How much does 2021 CB150R cost?
In Indonesia, the 2021 Honda CB150R is priced at Rp. 29,700,000 (around Rs 1.53 lakhs).
