Prior to its discontinuation, Honda CBR250R was offered as an entry-level supersport bike from Honda in India. The CBR250R made a stance for itself with an outstanding 250 cc twin-cylinder motorcycle. At the time of its launch, the bike was the most powerful in the two-wheeler market. It remained to be the only performance-focused 250cc bike in our market until KTM launched the RC 390. Currently, on the global market, Honda has launched the 2021 version of the Honda CBR250RR with more power and a few styling updates.
When will Honda launch 2021 Honda CBR 250RR in India?
In all likelihood, Honda will not launch the 2021 Honda CBR250R in our market considering the limited demand for a 250cc supersport bike. If launched, Honda CBR250R would bear a very hefty price, which makes no sense for a price-sensitive market like India. Customers would rather pick a bike with higher displacement for the same price than going for a small 250cc supersport.
Honda might launch the Honda CBR300R in our market as an alternative for the now-discontinued CBR250R. Even so, the Honda CB300R’s performance is not as impressive as the CBR250R. In fact, it does not quite match other sub-400 motorcycles in the market. At the moment, Honda has no supersport two-wheeler to offer for the Indian audience.
What is available on Honda CBR 250RR?
Even though the supersport is not available in India, let’s look through what the 2021 Honda CBR 250RR is offering in the international market.

If it was launched in our market, it will beat most bikes in the same segment in terms of performance. Moreover, the new CBR 250RR also comes with three riding modes. The suspension set-up of the CBR 250RR comprises USD front folks and rear mono-shock. Disc brakes are employed on both wheels. It also comes with dual-channel ABS. In terms of features, the new CBR 250RR gets dual LED headlamps, LED DRLs, dual-pod exhaust, full-digital instrument cluster.
