Honda CBR650F spotted at the Buddh Circuit ahead of its July launch - Spied

Will be assembled at the Manesar plant.

A MotorBeam reader snapped the forthcoming Honda CBR650F at the Buddh International Circuit, where the middleweight motorcycle was possibly being filmed for its promotional video/brochure. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) announced this month that the CBR650F will enter production at its Manesar plant in July this year.

Initially, the Japanese manufacturer plans to assemble only 2 units of the CBR650F each day, that too with a localization of only 5 percent. The bike will be available for sale in 20 locations in India.

Power for the CBR650F comes from an inline four-cylinder 649 cc liquid-cooled engine which produces 87 bhp and 62 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed transmission. Resting on a twin-spar steel frame, the CBR650F gets a 41 mm fork up front and a single shock spring-loaded suspension at the rear.

320 mm twin piston calipers up front and a single caliper 240 mm disc at the rear provide deceleration, while ABS will be a standard fitment. Dripping wet, the CBR650F weighs 209 kg. Upon launch, the faired middleweight is expected to cost in the region of INR 8 lakhs, ex-Showroom.
