Honda Motor (China) Investment Co. (HMCI) has unveiled the Honda Concept D crossover at the Auto Shanghai 2015. The company says that the show car previews a China-only crossover model that is currently under development. The production vehicle will serve as top-end SUV model in Honda’s Chinese fleet.

As far as the design is concerned, the Concept D wears a bold styling and futuristic look, probably sketched with the urban Chinese buyers in mind. At the front, the huge ‘bronze-gold’ grille is as imposing as the massive air vents and slim LED-powered headlights. The car has a sloping roofline, with bumper integrated LED DRLs adding appeal.

Moving towards the rear, the side of the concept car is dominated by chunky 21-inch alloys shod in 285/45 tires with protruding side skirts and glaring wheel arches. The recessed door handles and cameras in place of conventional side mirrors grabs one’s attention. Further back, the boomerang-like C-shaped LED taillights, stylish spoiler up on the roof, and detailed bumper add to the car's bold look.
