Paris Live - Euro spec Honda HR-V mini SUV (Vezel)
European version of the Vezel gets its motor show debut in Paris.
The Euro spec Honda HR-V (known as the Vezel in Japan) has its premiere at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. From a visual standpoint, the European car gets a set of large 5-spoke alloy wheels. Otherwise, the car seems identical to the Vezel sold in Japan.
Based on the same platform as the new Jazz (which also had its European premiere at the Paris show), the HR-V is Honda's entry-level crossover that will rival the likes of the Nissan Juke, Ford EcoSport and Peugeot 2008.
Honda has not revealed the powertrain lineup for the old continent yet but the crossover is expected to offer a 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC engine and a 1.6-liter i-DTEC diesel engine.
The HR-V for Europe gets features such as Magic Seats which can be folded or lifted (theatre style) to store longer or taller objects. A centrally mounted fuel tank helps to increase the space inside.
