Expected to be launched in Japan in April 2017.

The current, third generation Honda Jazz (Honda Fit) was revealed in July 2013 and went on sale in Japan in September 2013. It will be due for its mid-life facelift next year. A speculative rendering from Mag-X shows how the 2017 Honda Jazz (facelift) may look like. The facelifted Honda Fit is expected to be launched in Japan in April 2017.

Along with an updated exterior, the facelifted Honda Jazz (Honda Fit) will also feature an improved chassis, reportedly.

The rendering suggests the facelifted Honda Jazz would feature new headlamps, updated grille design and restyled bumper up front, while the profile would remain unchanged. The rear-end isn't shown, but could have taillights with new graphics.

The facelift won't be about just an updated exterior, as mechanical changes are also planned. The chassis will reportedly be improved, while the engine line-up will be expanded with a new option. The new engine to be offered in the 2017 Honda Jazz is the 1.0-litre VTEC TURBO three-cylinder petrol mill set to be introduced in the tenth generation 2016 Honda Civic range this year. This engine was fitted in the Civic prototype driven by the media last year, in which it produces 127 hp and 200 Nm of torque.

The currrent Honda Fit Hybrid features an i-DCD powertrain. With the facelift, a possibility is that Honda could employ the 2016 Honda Freed hybrid's Sport Hybrid i-DCD powertrain. The new 1.0-litre petrol model should have a continuously variable transmission, while the updated Hybrid variant is likely to have a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
