Honda Jazz Si spews venom at Geneva

So many glitzy launches have taken place at Geneva. Honda has also entered the party showing a hot version of the Honda Jazz. Called the Honda Jazz Si, it is Honda attempt to make the Jazz, a conventional family car, into a hot hatch. Developed by Honda Research and Development Europe, the Honda Jazz Si benefits from:

Exteriors

  • Revised front and rear bumpers
  • Deep valances and prominent side skirts
  • 16’ inch alloy wheels with low profile tyres
  • Tinted privacy glass

  • Black and silver supportive seats
  • Leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearshift lever

Mechanicals

  • 1.4-litre i-VTEC with 100 PS and peak torque output of 127Nm

  • New dampers are combined with a larger front anti-roll bar
  • Revised electric power-steering system

Alongside the Jazz Si, Honda has also showcased Honda Jazz Idle Stop, essentially a Honda Jazz with a start-stop function to improve fuel economy and reduce emissions. However, the driver can choose to switch off the system if he wishes to do so.
