IAB Report - Honda India releases new images of the Mobilio
Two images of the Honda Mobilio have been released on Honda India's website. The car seen in the images is a diesel variant with nudge guard strips on the front bumper. It is in the top-end trim marked with alloy wheels, body colored fitments, foglamps, reverse camera and rear wiper blade.
Honda have also added a 360-degree virtual view of the Mobilio's interior in the website. Presumably of the top-end variant, the car borrows the Amaze's dashboard, seats and interior trim.
The Mobilio goes on sale next month with a petrol and diesel engine. The petrol engine would be the City's 1.5-liter four-cylinder mill, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. The diesel engine is the 1.5-liter i-DTEC that should produce about 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque. This engine option will not accompanied by an automatic transmission.
The Mobilio is a low-cost three-row MPV developed on the Brio platform for South East Asia. The people carrier was launched in Indonesia this year, and within three months of the introduction, achieved over 25,000 unit sales.
In India, the Mobilio's positioning would be sandwiching the Ertiga and Innova.
