Honda Navi receives 500 bookings via App in a fortnight - Report
Bookings opened on February 3.
The Hindu Business Line reports that the Honda Navi has received 500 bookings thus far. Speaking to the publication, V Sridhar, Senior Vice-President and Director (corporate office production), HMSI, has revealed that the Navi, which is an abbreviation of New Additional Value for India, received the said number of bookings through a dedicated smartphone app. The bookings have come mostly from metro cities.
The Honda Navi will be produced at the company's plant in Alwar, Rajasthan, and deliveries will start from April. The Honda Navi is a unique product that does not have any director competitor. It is similar to the Honda Activa in terms of specifications. It is powered by the engine already in use on the latter, the 110 cc forced air-cooled single-cylinder engine with HET (Honda Eco Technology), tuned to develop 7.83 hp at 7,000 rpm and 8.96 Nm at 5,500 rpm, and mated to a CVT.

HMSI's Chief Operating Officer, Shinji Aoyama, recently told the publication that the company is not targeting high volumes with the Honda Navi.
