Honda Navi base variant costs over INR 50,000 on-road
First product to have been developed from the ground-up by HMSI.
The Honda Navi was launched at the Auto Expo 2016 for an ex-Showroom price of INR 39,500. With customer deliveries set to begin, buyers will be coughing up a further INR 10,000 to bring their Navi home.
While the cost of road tax and insurance takes the price of the Navi to INR 46,600, Honda will charge buyers an additional INR 5,000 for basic accessories like number plates, a side stand and a leg-guard. It should be noted that these basic accessories are considered paid extras even for the brand's other models such as the Honda Activa and Honda Dio.
The Navi is the first product to have been developed from the ground-up by HMSI. It is powered by the familiar 110 cc single-cylinder engine with HET (Honda Eco Technology), the same engine does duty on the Honda Activa 3G. The engine develops 7.83 hp at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 8.96 Nm at 5,500 rpm, and is mated to the V-matic transmission (CVT). The Honda Navi can attain a top speed of 81 km/h.
