Honda Rebel 500 heading to Indonesia in April-May 2017 - Report

The Rebel Bobber series includes the Honda Rebel 300 and Honda Rebel 500.

The Honda Rebel 500 is set to be launched in Indonesia by April-May 2017. The Bobber is based on the Honda CBR500R and was showcased at the Thai Motor Show in November 2016 after being unveiled officially at the Long Beach Progressive International Motorcycle Show in the USA.

Powering the Honda Rebel 500 is a 471 cc parallel twin, liquid-cooled DOHC mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 47.58 PS of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 43 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The bike tips the scales at 185 kg and has a ground clearance of 137 mm. The seat height is an approachable 690 mm.

The Honda Rebel 500 is suspended over 41 mm standard telescopic forks up front and twin shocks in the rear. Brakes include a 296 mm single disc in the front and a 240 mm single disc in the rear. ABS is available as an option. Colour options in the US include Black, Red, Bright Yellow and Matte Silver Metallic.

The Honda Rebel 500 is powered by a 471 cc parallel twin mill capable of producing 47.58 PS of power and 43 Nm of torque.

The Honda Rebel 500 has been priced at USD 5,999 for the non-ABS trim and USD 6,299 for the ABS version, in the USA.
