Honda Cars India Limited announced this month that it received 12,000 bookings for the Honda WR-V until April 2017. This number has risen to 16,000 units now, as per a new report from The Economic Times.

Honda offers the WR-V in two grades, S and VX, but does not provide an automatic transmission.

The Honda WR-V launched in mid-March and the 2017 Honda City launched in mid-February have contributed significantly to the company's sales this year. The new City has received over 30,000 bookings. To continue growing in the market, the company could beef up its premium lineup with the Honda Civic and the latest iteration of the Honda CR-V, while introducing variants like an automatic transmission or a 1.5L i-VTEC for the WR-V at the other end.

Honda offers the WR-V in two grades: S and VX. LED daytime running lights, silver skid plates, 16-inch gunmetal-finish alloy wheels, electric sunroof, keyless entry, push start/stop button, cruise control, automatic climate control with touch control panel, 7.0-inch DIGIPAD capacitive touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, MirrorLink and voice recognition, standard dual-front airbags, standard ABS with EBD and multi-view rear camera are the highlights of the WR-V.

The Honda WR-V is priced at INR 7.75 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol model and at INR 8.79 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel model.
