Honda WR-V's (Honda Jazz cross) grille design allegedly leaked

Expected in India in 2017.

GaadiWaadi has acquired an alleged patent sketch of the Honda WR-V's grille, revealing the final design. Codenamed 'Honda 2FM', the WR-V (Honda Jazz Cross) is expected to arrive in 2017 in India.

The grille looks largely identical to that of the Honda HR-V.

The grille looks largely identical to that of the Honda HR-V, although the lower portion has a honeycomb grille; instead of multiple slats in the HR-V. The rendering from Quatro Rodas (below) serves as an idea of how the grille integrates into the front of the Honda WR-V. The wheelbase is reported to measure 2.6 meters, slightly longer than the hatchback.

The WR-V will launch in Brazil first, and will be powered by the Honda Jazz’s i-VTEC FlexOne flex-fuel unit that produces 115 hp (petrol)/116 hp (ethanol) and 149 Nm (petrol)/150 Nm (ethanol) of torque. It's unclear if the petrol variant of the India-spec WR-V will come with a 1.2L i-VTEC or the bigger 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine. The diesel variant will feature the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
