Honda WR-V (Jazz Cross) front and rear renderings
To be introduced at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show in November.
QuatroRodas Brasil has posted a couple of new renderings of the upcoming Honda WR-V (Jazz-based crossover). It is expected to be introduced at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show in November, and is rumored to be in the pipeline for the Indian market in 2017.
It will drop the "Fit Twist" nameplate for "WR-V", so as to distance itself further from the regular Honda Fit/Jazz. Unlike the previous model that was a Honda Fit with rugged accessories, the WR-V will get a unique identity, as seen in the renderings. There are some elements, such as the taillamps and glasshouse design, to remind you that it's based on the Fit.
Under the hood will be a 1.5-litre i-VTEC FlexOne unit from the Fit, paired to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT unit. In the Fit, it develops 115 hp (petrol)/116 hp (ethanol) and 149 Nm (petrol)/150 Nm (ethanol) of torque.

The wheelbase is reportedly 2.60 meters long (50 mm longer than the hatchback), and it will sit between the Honda Fit and the Honda HR-V. In the Brazilian market, the WR-V will rival the Toyota Etios Cross and Hyundai HB20X. The report is estimating a starting price of R$ 70,000 (INR 13.31 Lakhs) for the pseudo crossover.
