2019 Hyundai Grand i10 spied yet again ahead of Q4 launch

The 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 has been spied yet again ahead of its expected launch in India in the fourth quarter (October-December).

The silhouette of the 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 seems to be a reflection of the outgoing model and there's no major difference in the overall size either.

The 2019 Hyundai Grand i10, like its predecessor, will have a funky styling targeted at young buyers. At the front, the third generation Grand i10 will come with a more expressive cascading grille, new sweptback headlamp and a more stylish bumper which will have hints of the 2019 Hyundai Elantra. Its silhouette seems to be a reflection of the current out-going and there's no major difference in its overall size too. However, enhanced proportions and cleverer packaging could lead to improved cabin space. A more smoothly upswept beltline and a more curvaceous greenhouse do improve the styling on the sides.

The rear-end of the 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 has still been mostly hidden under camouflage, but it won't be being farfetched to expect a totally new look, courtesy redesigned tail lamps, bumper and tailgate. Inside, the new third-generation A-segment car will be richer in terms of comfort creatures and advanced in-car technologies. Previous spy shots had shown sleek, horizontal central air vents and a more modern steering wheel similar to that of the Hyundai Kona. A floating-type touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also expected.

The next-gen Hyundai Grand i10 will sit on an updated version of the outgoing model's platform. It will employ a BS-VI version of the 83 PS 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine. Whether the 75 PS 1.2-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine will be made available or not remains to be seen. BS-VI upgrades are proving to be too costly for A-segment models in general. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual unit and a 5-speed automated manual unit. The latter will arrive as a replacement for the aged 4-speed torque converter.
