Available in two variants.
After much delay, Hyundai of China has launched the Hyundai ix25 1.6 T-GDI, in other words, the Hyundai Creta 1.6 turbocharged petrol has just gone on sale in China.
On the outside, the ix25 1.6T (Creta 1.6T) is identified by a new twin-slat chrome grille, a 'T-GDi' badge on the bootlid and dual exhaust tips. Under the hood is a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine churning 160 hp and 250 Nm of torque paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with a front-wheel drive layout.
In comparison, the 1.6-liter VTVT engine develops 125 hp and 151 Nm of torque, whereas the larger 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated engine puts out 160 hp and 192 Nm of torque. Also, where the 1.6 VTVT gets a choice between 6-MT and 6-AT gearboxes, the 2.0 is available only with a 6-AT, which is a traditional torque-converter unit. On paper then, the 1.6T with the DCT is a superior powertrain option.
Available in two variants, the Hyundai ix25 1.6T (Hyundai Creta 1.6T) offers vehicle stability control, uphill and downhill assist system, parking sensors, a panoramic sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start, cruise control, Bluetooth-enabled music system and a multifunction steering wheel as standard.
