Hyundai Creta S+ Diesel AT launched at INR 13.56 Lakhs
Makes 1.6 Diesel AT variant more affordable.
Hyundai has quietly launched the more affordable version of the Hyundai Creta Diesel AT variant, which is based on the S+ grade. It's priced at INR 13.56 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), making it around Rs. 1.06 lakh less expensive than the Creta SX+ Diesel AT.
This follows the launch of the petrol AT variant (only in SX+), and comes at a time when there is an increasing demand for SUVs equipped with automatic gearbox. So far, it was only available in the top-end SX+ grade. With the diesel variant now available in the more affordable S+ grade, more prospective customers can join the diesel AT bandwagon.
Compared to the SX+ grade, customers will miss out on features such as projector headlamps, dual tone grille, push button start, automatic climate control, and rear wiper in the S+ grade. Regardless, it comes standard with a 7 inch touchscreen audio system with 6 speakers, bluetooth streaming, 1GB HDD, dual airbags, ABS and foglamps.

The Creta Diesel AT is packs a 1.6-litre CRDi four cylinder engine coupled with a Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT). It churns out 128 PS and 26.5 kgm (256 Nm) of torque, and is paired to a six-speed automatic torque converter. According to reports, there appears to be a two month waiting period for the Creta S+ AT currently.
