India-bound Hyundai Elantra facelift showcased at Thai Motor Expo 2014 - IAB Report
New multimedia infotainment system on offer.
The Hyundai Elantra facelift which went on sale in Thailand earlier this year is in attendance at the ongoing Thailand International Motor Expo 2014.
The facelifted D-segment sedan receives minor styling changes like redesigned headlight clusters which now feature integrated LED headlights and new foglamps. The profile remains intact while the rear fascia gets a new bumper with black plastic insert and LED infused combination lamps.
The interior features a revised centre console which accommodates a new infotainment screen and larger AC vents which are positioned higher. The Elantra facelift is available in three variants - GL, GLE and GLS Navi.
The top-end variant benefits from the addition of new equipment like cooled glove compartment, Flex Steer technology which offers three driving modes - Comfort, Sport and Normal, and an advanced parking assistant (Advanced SPAS) which automatically executes parallel and perpendicular parking using ultrasonic sensors.
The Thai-spec Elantra is powered by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol motor which is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission to produce 150 PS (147.8 bhp) at 6,500 rpm and 178 Nm of torque at 4,700 rpm.
