Hyundai Elantra Sport leaked in spyshots
Spyshots appear to have been clicked at a dealership.
Hyundai is bringing a performance variant of the sixth generation Hyundai Elantra this year which, reports say, will be called Hyundai Elantra Sport. The Elantra Sport has been spied on several occasions, but now, new spyshots that recently surfaced on a number of South Korean websites give the first undisguised look at the exterior. The spyshots appear to have been taken at a dealership, indicating that the performance variant's launch is nearing in South Korea.
Of the entire batch, only two units are clearly visible; one is finished in a shade of silver and the other one features a golden-yellow colour which appears to be similar to the BMW M4's signature Austin Yellow colour. Up front, the spyshot shows that the Hyundai Elantra Sport features tweaked headlight cluster and larger air vents with LED daytime running lights. At the sides, big wheels, low profile tyres and subtle side skirts round up the tweaks. At the rear, there's a modified bumper which seems to feature an integrated diffuser, tweaked taillight cluster and twin exhaust pipes.

The Hyundai Elantra Sport will reportedly be powered by the 1.6-litre T-GDI turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine from the Hyundai Veloster Turbo. The engine will be mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Hyundai will offer a new independent rear suspension in the Sport variant for better handling.
