IAB Report - Hyundai Elite i20 launched at INR 4.89 lakhs [Images Updated]

Hyundai India held the world debut of the Hyundai Elite i20 in New Delhi today, launching the hatchback at prices mentioned below:

Hyundai Elite i20 1.2 Petrol Prices:

1. Hyundai Elite i20 Era - INR 4.89 lakhs
2. Hyundai Elite i20 Magna - INR 5.41 lakhs
3. Hyundai Elite i20 Sportz - INR 5.93 lakhs
4. Hyundai Elite i20 Asta - INR 6.46 lakhs

Hyundai Elite i20 1.4 Diesel Prices:

1. Hyundai Elite i20 Era - INR 6.09 lakhs
2. Hyundai Elite i20 Magna - INR 6.61 lakhs
3. Hyundai Elite i20 Sportz - INR 7.13 lakhs
4. Hyundai Elite i20 Asta - INR 7.66 lakhs

[Note: Prices are ex-Showroom, New Delhi and are introductory.]

The new i20 is available with a 1.2-liter petrol engine and a 1.4-liter diesel engine. The petrol motor makes 83 PS (81.8 bhp) and 11.7 kgm of torque and comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.4-liter diesel engine makes 90 PS (88.73 bhp) and 22.4 kgm of torque and comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1.4-liter petrol option, or an automatic transmission, is not available on the Elite i20 for now.

The petrol Era and Magna variants have their ARAI economy at 18.6 km/l, while the Sportz, Sportz (O) and Asta deliver 18.24 km/l. The Era and Magna diesel achieve 22.54 km/l, and the Sportz, Sportz (O) and Asta manage 21.76 km/l.
