Report - Hyundai Eon 1.0L variant priced at 3.85 lakhs
Hyundai India has launched a 1.0L engine on the Hyundai Eon, Autocar India has reported.
Dealerships that IAB called this morning said bookings for the vehicles are on and deliveries would commence in a few weeks.
The more powerful Eon variant comes with a 1.0L three-cylinder engine that is available to the European i10. It produces 65 bhp and 9.7 kgm of torque and is available on the Magna variant which comes with power windows, air conditioner and power steering. Other features on this variant include engine immobilizer, keyless entry and 13-inch steel wheels.
The variant will not have styling changes. The current Eon is powered by a 814 cc engine that delivers 56 PS and 7.6 kgm. It was launched in October 2011 in six variants. It was developed in four years by 1,000 engineers, in a budget of 900 crore rupees, specifically for India.
The Hyundai Eon 1.0-litre Magna has been priced at Rs 3.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the metallic paint. Its chief rivals are the Datsun Go and the Maruti Wagon R.
