Hyundai Eon spied inside out - Don't miss it

Anything-On-Wheels posted unmasked images of the Hyundai Eon yesterday on its website ending all speculation around its design. The images reveal the Eon's interiors, and exterior form and styling. The model spied could be the top-end model (Sportz trim) with all the bells and whistles.

The Eon's dual tone dashboard carries forward the flowing exterior theme into the cabin. There is no element on the dashboard we find gaudy or out of place. The shade placed above the AC vent is seen on the higher segment Verna. Moving down, the USB/MP3/CD player will not provide entertainment and convenience, but it also will keep the engine noise levels down if the quality of the sound system is good. Hyundai provides good quality stereo on the i10 and i20 and the Eon hopefully has four door mounted speakers that do the job.

As IAB reported months back, Hyundai has opted for the more expensive dial-type control for the air conditioner though fresh air circulation is done using the old-school drag knob.

Like we reported, Hyundai has taken a thing or two out of some latest city cars. The coin tray above the glovebox can also act as an idol stand. We appreciate the fact that Hyundai has provided what looks like a good-grip steering wheel with silver inserts.

The rear profile is highlighted by the knife-edge tail lights and a semi-circular windshield. The tail gate is very compact (compare it to the dimension of the bumper) hinting at a small boot. The kink at the rear door and hexagonal radiator grill are reminiscent of the Hyundai i10.

There's one conclusion only that we can honestly reach - the Alto is going to find this car a handful.
