Hyundai Grand i10 facelift likely to get dashboard updates
Touchscreen AVN, new dashboard colors, Auto-AC considered.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) is working towards introducing a facelift for one of its best-selling products, the Hyundai Grand i10. While the i10 facelift for the European market will have its debut at the Paris Motor Show this month, the Grand i10 facelift for India is expected closer to the festive season (November 2016), or by early-2017.
On the outside, the Grand i10 facelift will look identical to the current model save for an updated grille and bumpers with new foglight enclosures, and possibly a new design for the alloy wheels. A source divulged to Indian Autos Blog that customers are extremely happy with the design of the hatchback, and hence, drastic changes aren't planned.
On the inside too, Grand i10 buyers are very much satisfied with the overall design and build quality. However, the company is considering adding more features to the Maruti Swift-rival. For example, while the top-end Grand i10 gets a music system with in-built 1GB memory, current buyers are on the lookout for a tech-savvy touchscreen entertainment system, and also don't mind experiencing the dashboard in brighter hues, the same source told Indian Autos Blog.
HMIL in-fact tested the market by launching the Grand i10 Anniversary Edition in May this year, which featured a 6.2-inch touchscreen unit and a red-and-black dual-tone interior and seat upholstery. "The response for the anniversary edition was excellent", the source said.

Aside from these updates, an automatic climate control system is also considered for the Grand i10 facelift. "We already have the module and parts for the Xcent, its the same for the Grand i10, so we can easily incorporate that if needed", the person said.
