The first-ever Hyundai i10 N Line is celebrating its world premiere at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA 2019). The sportier variant of the third-gen Hyundai i10 will be launched in Europe in summer 2020.

The Hyundai i10 N Line gets exclusive LED DRLs and 16-inch alloy wheels among other unique design elements.

The Euro-spec Hyundai i10 is the fourth Hyundai model to receive an N Line variant which was first introduced for the Hyundai i30 in 2018, followed by the Hyundai i30 Fastback the same year and then the Tucson earlier this year. The Hyundai i10 N Line takes inspiration from Hyundai's high-performance sub-brand Hyundai N. It sports redesigned bumpers and grille that are reminiscent of the original Hyundai i30 N, exclusive LED DRLs and 16-inch alloy wheels, N Line emblem, i10 sign in red font and a faux skid plate and diffuser. There will be 6 exterior colour choices, with an option to combine them with a contrasting black roof.

The interior too is a little sportier, with bits like N-branded steering wheel with red stitching on the cover, N-branded gearshift lever, red air vent rings, metal pedals and unique seat upholstery with red stitching. Surprisingly, the N Line variant has a higher ground clearance compared to the standard variant, not lower. While the latter's ground clearance is 149 mm, the formers ground clearance is 152 mm. It measures 3,675 mm long, 1,680 mm wide and 1,483 mm tall. This means that it is 5 mm longer and 3 mm taller but its width is the same. The wheelbase also, obviously, is the same - 2,425 mm.

Under the hood, the Hyundai i10 N Line has either the exclusive 1.0L T-GDi turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine good for 100 PS and 172 Nm or the shared 1.2L MPi naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 84 PS and 118 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard, but on selecting the latter, there will be an option for a 5-speed automated manual transmission.
