Hyundai i20 facelift reaches dealer yard in Goa; LED-infused front on Asta variant

Our friends at GoaOnWheels.com have managed to get hold of some photographs of the facelifted Hyundai i20 from what looks like a dealership yard adjacent to the showroom. GoaOnWheels have also uploaded interior shots revealing the changes.

As expected, it is no different compared to the Geneva show car. The air vents are adjusted vertically and the bigger buttons are spaced out around the console. The top half of the dash is now in dark gray instead of the chocolate brown on the current version.

If Hyundai's press communications team is to be believed, rattling and vibrations have been eliminated or lowered as a result of introducing reinforcements to the dash, inclusion of sound deadening material and reworked engine and transmissions mounting points. The steering setup has also been tweaked.

The Sportz variant becomes a lot more safer due to the introduction of ABS and driver side airbag. The stereo unit across variants is treated in a silver black finish. A reverse camera is enclosed below the Hyundai logo. The top-end Asta variant receives LED arches on the fog lights. There are a total of nine variants of the fluidic i20.

Hyundai continues offering three engines and two transmission options on the revised vehicle. The 1.4-liter diesel and 1.2-liter Kappa petrol (VVT-fortified, yet to be confirmed)  is paired to a 5-speed MT while the 1.4-liter petrol is driven through a 4-speed MT.

On top of what GoaOnWheels have posted, we're waiting for more information to trickle in. As per our sources, the launch of the new i20 is expected to unfold in early April. Changes in the pricing is certain to be influenced by the announcements made during the budget with regard to the excise hike.
